Clotilda Hollfelder

CROSS PLAINS/PORT EDWARDS, WI-Clotilda F. Hollfelder, age 86, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2009, in Port Edwards, WI. She was born on April 26, 1922, in the town of Perry, the daughter of Leo and Gertrude (Meinholz) Haag. She was united in marriage to Gilbert Hollfelder on April 3, 1940, in Perry. He preceded her in death on July 28, 1981. Together they farmed in Cross Plains, where Clotilda loved being outdoors and sharing in the farm chores with her husband, especially milking cows. She had a variety of interests including crocheting ,quilling, baking, playing cards and doing jigsaw and crossword puzzles, but she truly enjoyed tending to her flower gardens. Clotilda also helped out preparing meals for weddings and events at the American Legion Hall and also at St. Francis Xavier School for over 30 years. She is survived by a son, Marvin (Jan ) Hollfelder, of Appleton; a daughter, Joyce (Rich) Rejret, of Nekoosa; five grandchildren, Eric Hollfelder, Ross (Stacy) Hollfelder, Sherry (Tim)Krizek, Ryan (Trina) Rejret and Darrick (Kady) Rejret; five great-grandchildren, Aaron, Austin and Alex Krizek and Jacob and Abby Hollfelder and two sisters, Eline (Arnold) Zander of Mt. Horeb and Amy (Tom) Reese of Minnesota. In addition to her husband, Gilbert, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Marlene and Pat. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. FRANCIS XAVIER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2947 Thinnes Street, Cross Plains at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 20, 2009. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
