To Herb's family and his 'Boys'-- He and I had become pretty good friends in the last few months. We worked together doing concessions and we gambled together. He was a very kind and loving man. If you have access to his cell phone you may see our text messages. I am very sad that he is gone. I visited in the hospital, but couldnt bring myself to attend his funeral. I pray for the family to help get through this very difficult time and if there is anything I can do, please dont hesitate to ask...including help clean out his apt, etc. I know people often say that, but dont mean it. God bless Herb's family and friends thru this time of mourning. Kim

I am deeply sad for losing a dear friend. I am deeply sad that I was out of town and was not able to attend the services. I remember the days when we first met in the Vondron Rd and Ellen St. neighborhood. The boys were so young. I still have the picture of you, Patty, Denise and myself when you lived on Ellen Ave. on my refridgerator. I will remember the Christmas' and Thanksgivings you would stop by to chat and to say hi. I always had a dinner plate for you. I will remember the 'Corvette' you gave me rides in. I will miss those visits. I will miss working with you and volunteering at the UW football games. You had such a good heart. Always giving of yourself to others. I cried today when I heard that I had lost a dear friend. I cried because I wasn't able to say goodbye to you at the services. Herb, you will always be missed. You will always be in our hearts. Michael, Annette, Louis and Andrew Bentley

I love you Herbie. You will be missed. I'm so happy that my boys had the chance to know their cousin 'Herbie'.
