Donna Gove

Gove, Donna J. MADISON-Donna J. Gove, age 76, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 23, 2009. The former Donna Schellin was born on Jan. 5, 1933, in Madison, and has been a life long resident. Donna attended Madison East High School and graduated in 1951. She married Ray C. Gove in 1965. Donna was employed by the University of Wisconsin-Extensions Survey Research Lab for 28 years, retiring in 1991. She also was a life member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post No. 7591. Donna is survived by four children, Cynthia (Douglas) Schriber of Hollandale, Gary (Michelle) Manthe of DeForest, Bryan (Joan) Manthe of Madison, and Cheryl (Eric) Massey of Hollandale; six grandchildren, Ryan (Tracy) Donnelly, Monica Donnelly, Christopher Pfuhl, Joseph Pfuhl, Kym (Jon) Sexton, and Gregory Manthe; two great-grandchildren, Riley and Daisy; two sisters, Janice Kortman and Gloria Patridge; and two brothers, Robert Schellin and Donald Schellin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray in 1993; her parents, Erich and Dorothy Schellin; and brother, Gerald Schellin. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2009, with Pastor Dan Jester, New Hope Evangelical Free Church of Mount Horeb presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 8:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Entombment will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 S. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The family wishes to thank the staff at St. Marys Hospital and Middleton Village for all their wonderful care and loving support.
