Leona Riddle

Riddle, Leona Marie (Giencke) MADISON - Leona Marie (Giencke) Riddle, age 89, died on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2009, at the Don and Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare Center. Leona was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She spent a number of years at the Oregon School for Girls as a counselor and mentor. Leona was a member of Monona United Methodist Church. Leona is survived by her sons, Gerald of Madison, Thomas (Mary) of Madison, and Timothy (Donna) of Sun Prairie; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Sylvia Giencke; usband, George Riddle; son, Richard Riddle; brother, Harley Giencke; and sisters, Orla (Giencke) Jones and Betty (Giencke) Schmudlach. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 1 p.m., on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009, with the Rev. David Beyers-Dent presiding. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home from noon until the time of the service on Tuesday. She loved us well and we will miss her dearly.
