Obituary

Fowler, Lucille Evelyn "Lucy" STOUGHTON - Lucille "Lucy" Fowler, age 86, passed away peacefully at Stoughton Hospital, surrounded by family and friends, on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009. She was born on Sept. 25, 1922, in Milwaukee, the daughter of George and Martha (Koplin) Thrasher. Lucy married Doy Fowler on June 14, 1951, in Shreveport, La. She worked at Crandalls in Madison for 17 years with Rudy and Gus Crandall. After retiring, Doy and Lucy moved to Midland, Texas, where they lived for 14 years, returning to Wisconsin in 1995. Lucy was a lifetime Lutheran. She enjoyed fishing, working puzzles, reading and traveling. Lucy had a great love for pets, especially Buttons, who is a very lonely dog now. Lucy is survived by her husband of 56 years, Doy of Stoughton; son, Ronald (Mona) Fowler of Stoughton; two grandchildren, Aaron and Amber Fowler of Stoughton; nieces, Donanne (Mario) DaVilla of Fortney, Texas, and Kathy Raines of San Angelo, Texas; and nephews, Pat Wranik of Kona, Hawaii, and David Wranik of Indian Rock Beach, Fla; She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Mardell Breese. Funeral services will be held at GOOD SHEPHERD BY THE LAKE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1860 Hwy. 51, Stoughton, at 2 p.m., on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2009, with the Rev. Todd McVey presiding. Burial will be at Prairie Mound Cemetery in Oregon. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday, from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.
