Marjorie Speranza

Speranza, Marjorie Jane MADISON/MIDDLETON-Marjorie Jane Speranza, age 80, of Madison, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2009. She was born on April 5, 1928, in Madison, the daughter of Marion and Marjorie (Harper) Borland. Marjorie is survived by her children, Thomas Meyer of Madison, Richard Meyer of Blanchardville, Terry (Patricia) Meyer of Madison, Laura (John) Reindl of Orchard Park, N.Y., and James (Milesa) Speranza; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three brothers, Jim Borland of Mesa, Ariz., Jerry Borland of Madison, and David (Carol) Borland of Sun Prairie; and three sisters, Joan Smith of Madison, Erma Drosopolous of Madison, and Beverly Koukl of Chicago, Ill. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Gene Pressnall and Mary Stam. A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until the time of the service. Private inurnment will be held at Sunset Memory Gardens at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Middleton Senior Center.
