Obituary

MADISON-Bradley J. T. Knapp, age 32, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009. He was born on Nov. 16, 1976, in Madison, the son of James and Sharon (Brown) Knapp. Brad graduated from La Follette High School in 1995. He worked for Oscar Mayer following graduation and then discovered his love and talent for painting. Brad began his career with Premier Painting & Contracting in Middleton. He married Celestia Searle on Aug. 17, 2002. Brad enjoyed camping, coaching flag football at the YMCA, watching football and cheering on the Raiders. He would press his luck on slot machines and playing cards. Brads pride and joy were his daughters, Kilee and Hailee. He was a kid at heart and was the highlight of his girls day. Brad loved being around family and friends, and always had a quick response or joke. He is survived by his wife, Celestia; daughters, Kilee, age 4, and Hailee, age 3; his parents, Jim and Sharon Knapp; brothers, Robert and William Knapp; a sister, Tammy; paternal grandmother, Charlotte Knapp; maternal grandmother, Inez Brown; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, loving family and friends. Brad was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, James Knapp Sr.; and maternal grandfather, Herman Brown. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 9, 2009. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2009. In lieu of flowers, a fund will be established for the family at Summit Credit Union, 6420 Cottage Grove Road, Madison, WI 53718. "To my husband, You will never know how many lives you have touched, we will all miss you dearly. I have spent half my life with you and for that I am truly blessed. I will love and cherish your beautiful daughters and give them plenty of hugs and kisses from their Papa. I will keep your smiling face forever in my heart. Love always, Celestia." I graduated from High School with Brad and remember what a nice nice guy he was. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this sad time.
