Obituary

MIDDLETON-Kim L. "Vito" Jenkins, age 59, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at St. Marys Hospital from complications as a result of a stroke. He was born on November 13, 1949, in Madison, the son of Leon and Mollie (Fredrickson) Jenkins. Kim was united in marriage to Cindy Sorge in July 1997. He was a veteran of the US Navy having proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. Kim was employed with the UW Hospital for over 16 years. He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan but treasured most the time he spent with his family. Kim is survived by his wife and best friend, Cindy; a daughter, Tara Jenkins; a brother, Al (Cheryl) Jenkins; nieces & nephews, Ray Jenkins, Ben, Jill, Holly and Evan Nondorf and Travis and Leah Fralick; sisters-in-law, Sue (Dave) Nondorf, Rhonda Sorge and Gail Fralick; his father, Leon Jenkins; and his "Best Pal" and companion, his dog, Dillion. Kim was preceded in death by his mother Mollie Jenkins. Funeral services will be held at the GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL HOME, 7435 University Ave., Middleton at Noon on Saturday, February 7, 2009, with the Reverend Calvin Harpst presiding. Family and friends may call on Saturday from 10:30 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. A celebration of life will follow the service at the Middleton Sport Bowl from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Iowa or Green County Humane Society. Kim was loved by all who knew him and he will be deeply missed.

Cindy, Tara, and family, My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. I know how much Kim meant to you all and he will be dearly missed. I'll miss calling him on Packer game days, but I know he's in a better place. Love you! joan
