She graduated from Resurrection High School in Chicago. Jeanne attended the Art Institute of Chicago, and also the American Conservatory of Music. She was skilled as an artist and gifted as a pianist, and enjoyed sharing these talents all of her life. She was a passionate gardener who loved making her garden a paradise of color and beauty. Jeanne married Fitch S. Sisson on October 28, 1938. For most of their married lives they lived in Norwood Park, on the outskirts of Chicago. Their lives were built around family, especially their three sons, Stan, Dick, and Mark. Jeanne was busy as a cub scout den mother, president of the Norwood Park Garden Club, an officer in the PTA, and in any and all of the activities of their family. She was a choir member of the Norwood Park Methodist Church. Jeanne and her family spent as much of their summers as possible at the summer cottage on the Wisconsin River near Sauk City. In her senior years, she spent six months of each year living at the cottage, bringing beauty and life to everything she touched. Here she knew how to find both contentment and purposeful living. While living with her children in Waunakee for the other six months, she was adopted into the spiritual family of the Gateway Community Church in Middleton., where she had many friends. She is survived by her sons, Stan (Joyce), Dick (Carol) and Mark (Janet), nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. On her ninety-fourth birthday, July 11, 2009, a memorial service is being planned at the cottage she loved so much.
