William Heiking

HEIKING WILLIAM F. "BILL" MADISON-William F. "Bill" Heiking, age 64, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2009 at his home after a long struggle with emphysema. He was born on November 28, 1944, in Madison, the son of Harold and Catherine (McCarthy) Heiking. Bill was united in marriage to Marian Dusek on September 17, 1966 in Oregon. He was employed for the City of Madison Streets Department retiring after 32 years of service. He also worked for more than ten years with Madison Taxi. Bill was a lifelong Chicago Cubs and Detroit Lions fan. He loved sports of all kinds, enjoyed trips to the casino and treasured the time spent with his family. Bill is survived by his wife of 42 years, Marian Heiking; a daughter, Lisa (James) Walton of Madison; a son, David Heiking, of Madison; two grandchildren, Alisah and James Walton, Jr. and his faithful and loving Chihuahua, Lexi. He was preceded in death by his parents. Private family services will be held. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens at a later date. A public visitation will be held at the GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL HOME, 7435 University Ave., Middleton from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Wednesday, January 7, 2009.
