Obituary

Holzwarth, Elizabeth C. MADISON - Elizabeth C. Holzwarth, age 79, of Madison, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at Meriter Hospital. She was born on June 28, 1929 in Plain, the daughter of Paul and Catherine (Peters) Haas. She married Leroy Holzwarth on June 30, 1952 in Madison. Elizabeth was a member of St. Dennis Catholic Church, VFW Auxiliary Post 7591 and the MOC Auxiliary Puptent #41. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting and spending time with her family. Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Leroy; five children, Lynnette A. (Philip) Cuff of Clarksville, Tenn., Lachlan (Karen) Holzwarth of Stoughton, Lydell A. Holzwarth of Madison, Lorilee M. (Kendall) Lund of Marshall, Lisette (Stephen) Tilker of Phoenix, Ariz.; six grandsons, David, Edward, Elliot, Forrest, Christopher, Nicholas; two granddaughters Lindsay and Tiffany; great granddaughter Kailyn; great grandson Finley; four brothers and sisters, Paul Haas of Plain, Arlene Duren of Madison, Lawrence Haas of East Troy and Angeline Shemak of Highland. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters Marie Meudt and Katherine Lawrence and infant son Lynell. Funeral services will be held on Thurs., Feb. 5, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, with Father Kent Schmitt presiding. Entombment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home where a pass in review will be held by the members of VFW Post 7591 prior to the service.
