Photo Klug, Eugene Leroy STOUGHTON - Eugene Leroy Klug, age 80, of Stoughton passed away on Friday, Dec. 5, 2008 at Stoughton Hospital after a 2 year battle with Parkinsons. He was born on April 17, 1928 in Radcliffe, Iowa, the son of Leroy and Rosella (Teig) Klug. Eugene married Erma Stackhouse on Nov. 26, 1953 at St. Gabriels Catholic Church in Zearing, Iowa. He lived in the Radcliffe area all his life before moving to Stoughton in 1999 to be near his family. Eugene worked for Hartman Plumbing, Rorem Produce and Cooperative Elevators of Radcliffe and Hubbard, Iowa. He is survived by his wife, Erma, of 55 years; his daughter, Sharon (Rose) Herrington and fiancé Keith McCredie of Sun Prairie; his son, David Klug of McFarland; grandson, Gabriel Sanner-Klug of McFarland; grandaughters, Kelly (Adam) Hook of Oregon, Kari (Brandon) Orloff of Blanchardville; four great-grandsons, Kristian, Jakob and Lukas Orloff of Blanchardville and Brady Hook of Oregon; a brother, Daniel (Dorothy) Klug of Carl Junction, Mo. Eugene was preceeded in death by his parents. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. ANNS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 323 N. Van Buren Street, Stoughton, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2008, with Monsignor Gerard M. Healy presiding. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation or HospiceCare.
