Ellen Ebert

EBERT, ELLEN M. CROSS PLAINS-Ellen M. Ebert, age 85, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 4, 2008 at her residence in Cross Plains. She was born on January 22, 1923, in LaCrosse , the daughter of Benjamin and Laura (Schroeder) Stair. Ellen was united in marriage to Elmer W. Ebert on August 26, 1941 in LaCrosse. He preceded her in death in 1994. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Some of the great loves of Ellens life include her family, her garden, and sharing the many crafts she made with her family. Survivors include three children, Jan (Don) Fritz of Davis Junction, Ill., Terri Ebert of Fond du Lac, Wis., and Thomas (fiancé Sue) Ebert of Wrightstown, Wis., 6 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and a sister Beverly (Ted) Rohde. Ellen is preceded in death by her husband Elmer, and her son Peter Ebert. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST, FRANCIS XAVIER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2749 Thinnes Street, Cross Plains at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 8, 2008 with Father Thomas Kelley presiding. Burial will be in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. Family and friends may call on Monday from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at the church.
