Dorothy Schroeder

Schroeder, Dorothy J. MADISON-Dorothy J. Schroeder, age 83, passed away on Monday, Jan. 26, 2009. She was born on Jan. 5, 1926, in Woodford, to Homer and Savilla (Soper) McCauley. Dorothy attended UW-Madison until she married Dwight Schroeder on Nov. 26, 1946, in Madison. She was a homemaker and an active volunteer all of her life. Dorothy was a very active member of Monona United Methodist Church and the Hope Circle. She is survived by two sons, Larry (Kay) of LaValle, and Douglas (Kathy) of Waterloo; two daughters, Jeanne (Dilip) Patel of Madison, and Joan (John) Arnold of Roswell, N.M.; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three brothers-in-law, Harold (Marcile) Schroeder of Richardson, Texas, Willard Schroeder of Janesville, and Wayne (Nancy) Schroeder of Plover. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Dwight. Funeral services will be held at MONONA UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 606 Nichols Road, Monona, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009, with the Rev. David Byers-Dent presiding. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Entombment will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Monona United Methodist Church
