Obituary
MADISON-Lloyd Harry Paulson, age 79, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2009, with his family at his side, after a short but hard fought battle with cancer. Lloyd was born on Oct. 25, 1929, to Harry and Lillian (Lueck) Paulson, in Wyocena. He graduated from Portage High School. Lloyd served in the U. S. Army during the Korean conflict. He married his high school sweetheart, Patricia Thurler on Dec. 16, 1950, in Portage. Lloyd worked for Oscar Mayer for 41 years. He was a member of the VFW and Oscar Mayer REDI group. Lloyd enjoyed bowling, golfing, camping and fishing. He was an avid Packers and Badgers fan, as well as a fan of his grandchildrens sporting events. Lloyd is survived by his wife, "Patsy"; daughters, Marcie (Brad) Minter of McFarland, and Patty (Brad) Jungbluth of Portage; a son, Jim of Madison; grandchildren, Jeff (Michelle) Minter of Belleville, Mike (Amy) Minter of Waunakee, Molly Minter of Beaver Dam, Lindsey (Eric) DeProspero of Pennsylvania, and Lacy Jungbluth (fiancé, Matt Pixley) of Portage; great-grandchildren, Ella and Max Minter, Owen Minter, Brock DeProspero, and Ayvri Pixley; a sister, Delores Campbell of Montello; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother; and three sisters. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009, with Chaplain Bob Groth presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 9, 2009. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family, HospiceCare Inc. or American Cancer Society. Lloyds grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of his life. Although well miss you husband, dad and grandpa, we know that you can again do all those things that youve been unable to do these last few months.
