Irene Sickinger

Sickinger, Irene MADISON - Irene Sickinger, age 60, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008, at University Hospital. She was born on August 5, 1948, in Madison to Gilbert and Rachel (Rickey) Sickinger. Irene worked for Wisconsin Energy Conservation Coalition and MARC East. She loved traveling, shopping, swimming and jewelry. Irene was a good sister and friend who made her presence felt. She had a love of her family and friends and will be missed by many. Irene is survived by her brother, Michael of Madison; and her longtime companion, David. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her special friend, Bill Elsa. Memorial services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 6 p.m., on Thursday, Dec. 11, 2008, with Rev. Jeff Vanden Heuvel presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until the time of service on Thursday. Inurnment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to MARC East.
