Lorraine Whitwam

Whitwam, Lorraine MADISON-Lorraine Whitwam, age 87, died peacefully on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008. Lorraine lived life with kindness, humor, dignity and grace. She loved to play golf and was well known for her famous hole-in-one. She is survived by three children, David (Barbara) Whitwam, Dianne Bullis, and Sharon (Wayne Nehls) Whitwam. She leaves behind 10 wonderful grandchildren; and 20 beautiful great-grandchildren, who she adored. Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband, Colonel Donald Whitwam (Ret.). Services will be held at ROSELAWN MEMORIAL PARK CHAPEL, 401 Femrite Drive, Monona, at 10 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 8, 2008. In lieu of flowers, those wishing an expression of sympathy may want to consider a memorial for children with autism to Common Threads Resource Center, 3579 Siggelkow Road, McFarland, WI 53558. When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.
