Marion Schey

Schey, Marion E. MONONA - Marion E. Schey, age 67, passed away on Monday, Dec. 15, 2008, at St. Marys Hospital. She was born on Dec.10, 1941, in Madison, the daughter of Carl and Eleanor (Hellpap) Erb. Marion attended Verona High School, graduating in 1959. She married Jerome Schey on Aug. 20, 1966 in Mount Vernon. Marion worked for Manchesters Department Store, the state of Wisconsin, Department of Natural Resources and Department of Administration, retiring in 1998. She had many hobbies and interests, including carving, quilting and her telephone chats with friends and fellow crafters. She was also a volunteer at the Monona Senior Center. Marion is survived by her husband, Jerome; daughter, Christine Schey of Madison; a son, Mark Schey of Monona; a granddaughter, Haley Schey of Monona; her sister, Doris (Beecher) Daniels; nephews, Dave (Linda) Daniels and Greg (Dawn Marie) Daniels; a niece, Brenda (Scott) Schuppe; cousins, Bonnie (Jeff) Parsons and Brian (Ken Scott) Bigler; and uncle, John G. Bigler. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at ST. STEPHENS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5700 Pheasant Hill Road, Monona, at 3 p.m., on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008, with the Rev. Nick Utphall and the Rev. Tim Hansen presiding. Visitation will be at the church from 1 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday. There will be a private burial at Mount Vernon Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Monona Senior Center or St. Stephens Lutheran Church.
