Allan Marshall

Marshall, Allan John WAUKEGAN,ILL./MILWAUKEE-Allan John Marshall, age 72, of Waukegan, Ill., passed away on Monday, Nov. 3, 2008, in Waukegan, after a brief illness. He was born on April 11, 1938, in Hillsboro, the son of Merlin and Opal (Nofsinger) Marshall. At the age of 17, Allan served in the U. S. Navy. He worked at Hamilton Beach and A. J. Sweet. After his retirement, Allan resided in Milwaukee and recently in Waukegan with his close and special friends, Dorothy Henry and Sam Brooks. Allan is survived by his father, Merlin of Evansville; two brothers, Hal (Marcia) of Blanchardville, and Jerry (Teresa) of Brooklyn; nieces and nephews, Jason (Stacy), Matthew (Janice), Daniel (Tierney), Dana Marshall, Amy (Stace) Jones, Travis, Heather Marshall (Derek), and Mark (Jenny); and 11 great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Opal; and a brother, Larry. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL HOME, 431 Soden Drive, Oregon, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Prairie du Sac Cemetery.
