Virginia Dike

Dike, Virginia Mae (Chamberlain) MADISON, Virginia Mae Dike, age 86, of Madison, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Sunny Hill Health Care Center in Madison. She was born Jan. 17, 1922 in Whitewater, the daughter of Fred and Viva (Jolliffe) Chamberlain. She married Dr. Donald Dike on June 19, 1945 at the Congregational Church in Whitewater. Virginia was moved by her love of her family, music and the Wisconsin Northwoods. Virginia is the dear mother of Jody (Tom) Goral, Dr. Corey Dike, Fred (Kate) Dike, Darci (George) Kruchten, and Teri (Ed) Anderson. Loving grandmother of Rob (Andrea), Katie and Jackie Goral, Maria and Joey Dike, Christopher and Tony Dike, Brianna, Kelsi, and Shae-Lynn Kruchten, Ella Anderson, and great grandson Brock Goral. Also survived by sisters, Delores Fenelon, Lois Ketterhagen, Dorothy (Dr. Ed) Millar; brother-in-law Cecil Rhodes; sisters-in-laws, Connie Arnold, and Marion Dike. Also survived by many, many, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and many friends. Virginia is preceded in death by her husband Dr. Donald Dike, brothers-in-law Ed Fenelon, Bob Ketterhagen, and Lawrence Dike, and sister Goldie Rhodes. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL HOME, 7435 University Ave., Middleton, on Wednesday, November 26, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held at Hillside Cemetery in Whitewater, WI. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
