Gilbert Krenz

Krenz, Gilbert "Gib" OREGON/MONONA Gilbert "Gib" Krenz, age 81, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008. He was born on March 14, 1927, the son of Alvin and Irene (Bell) Krenz. Gib was united in marriage to Marcella "Sally" Keller on Nov. 11, 1947. He retired from Oscar Mayer. Gib enjoyed hunting, playing bingo, and trips to the casino. He was an avid Badger and Packer fan. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Gib is survived by his loving wife, Marcella "Sally"; two daughters, Diane Storck and Doreen (Thomas) Schuchardt; a son, David Krenz; seven grandchildren, Sarah (Joe) Holford, Rebecca (Ron) Foye, Matt Storck, Tony Schuchardt, Greg Schuchardt, Kyle Krenz, and Karleigh Krenz; five great-grandchildren, Brooke and Elizabeth Foye, Christalynn Storck, Brandon and Skylar Holford; two brothers, Rolland (Alma) Krenz and Darrell (Marchita) Krenz; and two sisters, Karen (Mike) Ohberg and Pat Anderson. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Harvey; and a son-in-law, James Storck. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5101 Schofield St., Monona, at 11:30 a.m., on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008, with Father John Meinholz presiding. Entombment will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008, and at the church from 10:30 a.m., until the time of the service on Wednesday.
