Lloyd Wollin

Wollin, Lloyd F. MADISON / COTTAGE GROVE - Lloyd F. Wollin, age 84, passed away on Friday, Nov. 14, 2008, at HospiceCare. He was born June 4, 1924, in Deerfield, the son of Wallace and Flora (Hahn) Wollin. Lloyd was united in marriage to Louise Brown on June 10, 1944. He held various jobs, working as a mechanic for the Madison Studebaker dealership, drove semis for several trucking companies, and drove for Badger Bus. Lloyd was a service technician for Empire Oil, General Heating, and Capital Air. He was a volunteer for the Heats On program. After retirement, he worked for Howard Johnsons/Comfort Suites, until he was 80 years old. Lloyd was a lifelong member of Hope Lutheran Church, serving on many committees and the church council. He enjoyed hunting and spending time at his cabin. Lloyd liked to "tinker", fixing lawn tractors and he had an amazing skill to repair anything. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Louise; a daughter, Donna (Clayton) Smith; a son, Jim (Cindy) Wollin; five grandchildren, Eric Hollfelder, Ross (Stacy) Hollfelder, Wendy (Rick) Klinger, Michael Wollin and Thomas Wollin; four great-grandchildren, Dylan and Trevor Klinger, Jacob and Abby Hollfelder; a sister, Elizabeth Cordio Schneider; and many nieces and nephews. Lloyd was preceded in death by his father, Wallace Wollin; his mother, Flora Bliss; and his second father, Thomas Bliss. Funeral services will be held at HOPE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 3702 County Hwy. AB, McFarland, at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., on Monday, Nov. 17, 2008, and at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday.
