Betty Pekowsky

Pekowsky, Betty L. MONONA Betty L. Pekowsky, age 75, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008. She was born on Sept. 29, 1933, in Oxford, the daughter of Alfred and Matilda Hintz. Betty was united in marriage to Donald Pekowsky on Nov. 1, 1952. He preceded her in death in 1983. She was a secretary for American Family Insurance for many years. Betty enjoyed her hedgehog and her cat. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Betty is survived by her daughter, Sheree Pekowsky; two grandchildren, Jennifer Rush and Joshua (fiancé, Rachel) Pekowsky; two great-grandchildren, Brianna and Micaela Rush; a daughter-in-law, Laurie Pekowsky; a brother, Milton (Elvera) Hintz; a brother-in-law, Robert R. (Joan) Pekowsky; a sister-in-law, Dorothy (Gerald) Krueger; and many nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband; she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Pekowsky. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., on Friday, Nov. 21, 2008. Burial will be in Oxford Cemetery at 10 a.m., on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008.
