Phyllis Carrier

Carrier, Phyllis B. MONONA-Phyllis B. Carrier, age 83, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2008, at her home. She was born in Madison, the daughter of Herbert and Viola (Brantmeyer) Gorman. Phyllis graduated from Edgewood High School. She married James Carrier on Feb. 3, 1945, in Madison. Phyllis never met a child, cat or dog that she didnt love. Her sense of humor and generosity endeared her to all. Phyllis is survived by her son, Brian Carrier, who has been her companion, friend and faithful caregiver for the past nine years; and a sister, Marcia (Glenn) Van Hulle. She was preceded in death by her husband, James; her parents; sisters, Joan Sanford and Janet Roth; and brothers, Robert Orwin and Harold Orwin. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008, with Father John Meinholz presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 8:45 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
