Mark Johnson

Johnson, Mark Gregory MADISON - Mark Gregory Johnson, age 37, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008. He was born on June 6, 1971, in Viroqua, the son of Gregory and Anita (McKittrick) Johnson. Mark graduated from Lafollette High School in 1989. He worked for A. J. Sweet for 14 years, until the plant closed in December 2006. Mark enjoyed the outdoors, reptiles, bugs, fishing, biking and tennis. He loved cats, especially his cat, Salem. Mark is survived by his mother, Anita Johnson; father, Gregory Johnson; sister, Brenda Cox; three nieces, Kristen Crowe, Shelly Sizemore, and Chelsey Condrey; two great-nephews, Darien and Damon Sizemore; two great-nieces, Layla Sizemore and Destiny Crowe; uncles, Brad (Theresa Anderson) Johnson, David (Linda) McKittrick, Butch (Lynnette) Reinfeldt, and Ron (Barbe) McKittrick; aunts, Bonnie (Chris) Christopherson and Diane (Delbert) Miller; his ex-wife and friend, Dawn Johnson; and many cousins, relatives and friends. Mark was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Archie and Ruth McKittrick; paternal grandparents, Lloyd and Charlotte Johnson. Funeral services will be held at SUGAR GROVE CHURCH OF CHRIST, S8360 Church Road, Soldiers Grove, at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov.11, 2008 with Rev. Dennis Johnson presiding. Visitation will be at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 10, 2008, and at the church from noon until the time of service. Burial will be at Sugar Grove Cemetery. Special thanks to his paternal grandparents for taking care of him. Mark, we love you very much and will miss you deeply.
