Obituary
Turner, Lana Mae MADISON Lana Mae Turner, age 67, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008, at Belmont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Madison. She was born on Jan. 22, 1941, in Madison, the daughter of Lerall and Lorraine (May) Turner. Lana was a graduate of Madison East High School, where she was an honor student. After graduation, she worked at the University of Wisconsin Education Department. Lana struggled patiently for many years with multiple sclerosis. She was a long time resident at Belmont and served as president of the resident council. Lana enjoyed activities that created a mental challenge and was an expert at crossword puzzles. She was a sports enthusiast and an avid Packers fan. Lanas thoughtful and loving witness was a continual blessing for many as she demonstrated her love for God and all creation. Lana is survived by her brother, Mark and his wife, Linda (Miller) of Bartlesville, Okla.; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 24, 2008, with the Rev. Calvin Steiner presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Entombment will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made in her honor to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Wisconsin Chapter, 1120 James Drive, Hartland, WI 53029. The family would like to thank the staff at Belmont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and HospiceCare, for their loving support of Lana over the years.
