Obituary

Black, Alexander Jason MADISON Alexander Jason Black, born June 23, 1977, died unexpectedly on Monday Oct. 13, 2008. This corner of our world lost a good man. Big hearted and funny was how everyone described Alex. He would help anyone who had a need. He liked to live life on the edge, racing and sports cars, paint balling, showed no fear, embrace life, look for all the adventures but stay connected to family and friends was how he chose to live. Alex had recently become engaged to Krista Hefty who said the light of her life was gone. He had dreams of their life and was going back to college to become a construction manager and was designing their future home. Alex had been in the architect program at MATC for a couple of years but didnt complete it due to working so much. He learned a great deal because he was very proud of the addition on his parents house that he designed, organized and helped to build. He went to Frank Allis, Sennett and La Follette High Schools graduating in 1995 and attended St. Dennis Church. His first job was with Gaylords catering, where he learned his work skills along with helping his dad with a million projects. He worked at Pizza Hut, Big Mikes, security at the Marriot and the Buckeye Inn and his last position was at Mr. Roberts. He is survived by his parents, Bill and Teri Black; his brother, Jeff; grandparents, Mary Williams, and Don and Betty Black; aunts and uncles, Dave and Joyce Williams, George and Kathy Williams, Trudi and Brad Carlson, John Williams, and Bunny and Norm Lenburg, Kathy and Tom Lehman, Jane and Tony Mellini, and Ron Black. H e had many cousins in his large extended family. He lost his grandfather George Williams and his Aunt Toni Williams. Alex loved his family, Krista and friends, playing pool, movies, karaoke, hunting, fishing and archery. Alex will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008, with Father Lance Schneider presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 17, 2008.

Bill, Toni, Jeff and entire family, Our deepest sympathy for the loss of Alex! We had the chance to spend time with Alex when Jeff and I came to Wisconsin to hunt. Alex took time to show Jeff around the hunting land and helped make our trip a great one! What a special person! Alex will be greatly missed! Our prayers go out to each and every one of you! Jeff, Erin, Julia and Dylan Davis Cordele, GA (Uncle Tom's granddaughter)

Bill,Terri & Jeff: My thoughts are with you during this dark time in your lives. Hold on to the great memories of all the things you all did together and keep Alex in your thoughts. It was always fun when bill would bring the boys up for deer season. Alex always had a smile and i will remember him for that always. Long live his memory

Bill, Teri and Jeff, Lars and I will always remember Alex as a 'brother' that spent so much time with us growing up, on trips, hunting, laughing and somehow we always had so much fun trying to not get into trouble. Lars will not be able to make it to the funeral, but he wants to you know how much he is thinking of you. My thoughts are also with Krista, I didn't know you, but I can only imagine what you are going through right now. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Very very sad to lose Big Al so early! I saw him sunday evening, and had a chance to catch up with him for a bit. I found out that he had gotten engaged, and he seemed REALLY happy and content! He was in a really good head-space, and I can hardly believe he's gone. ;-( I'll be at the service on Saturday, and I'll always remember his bold spirit and enthusiastic outlook! WE WILL NEVER FORGET YOU, BIG AL!!!! Much love from all your friends!!!!!!!!!!

My thoughts are with all that loved and cared about Big Al, as I met and knew him as. Big Al was such a light in this world. Carried such a presence that everyone secretly wished they too had within themselves. This is truly a great loss to mankind.
