Lynwood Stolen

Stolen, Lynwood W. MADISON - Lynwood W. Stolen, age 71, of Madison, went to eternal rest in "Cubbie blue yonder" on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2008. He was born on July 28, 1937, in Madison, the son of Roy and Margaret (Plachetka) Stolen. Lynwood graduated in 1955 from Alliance High School, Alliance, Neb. "Widwood", as his kid brother called him when he was very young, served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam, completing three tours. Like so many others, Lynwood suffered from the effects of Agent Orange. He worked at Electronic Theater Controls (ETC). Lynwood loved baseball and basketball, and was a Brewers fan but deep down, a Chicago Cubs fan. He moved in with his brother, Gary for the last 15 years. Lynwood loved spending time with his friends at Parkway and Green Lantern restaurants. He leaves behind his sister, Darlene (Wayne) of Alliance, Neb.; and brothers, Roy (Lorraine) of Hampton, Iowa, Don (Nancy) of Sun Prairie, and Gary of Madison. Lynwood was preceded in death by his parents. Private services will be held. Inurnment will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Special thanks to Gail at Dr. Williams office for the care she gave Lynwood.
