She also enjoyed taking walks with her dog, Roxi, walking during her lunch hour at work, and charity walks for the American Cancer Society. Cheri was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church. Cheri is survived by her husband, Adam; her precious daughter, Abigail "Abby"; her parents, Ray and Judy Schallert; and brother, Marc who cherished his "little" sister. She leaves behind many other relatives including uncles; aunts; cousins; nieces and nephews. Cheri was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents. Cheri brought a happiness and enthusiasm to everything she did and cheered those around her. I talked with Cheri at the Cancer Society walk last year and she was an inspiration, fighting her illness though her focus was on her family and her daughter.

When I think of Cheri, I see her smiling - always pleasant and cheerful. I'm sure that will continue to shine through her daughter.
