Obituary

Imhoff, Isabelle Esther MADISON Isabelle Esther Imhoff, 11 days shy of her 87th birthday, was called home to be with the Lord. She departed with more than 30 family members by her side at her house. Isabelle was born in Mineral Point, Wis. to Adolph and Ida (Stieve) Miller. She was married to James R. Imhoff Sr., May 1941. Issy found the fullness of life in her family, friends and countless others she accepted as her own. All who met her came quickly to know a loving mother, a selfless friend, and a giving servant of her faith. Strong in spirit, yet soft in approach, she was loved dearly by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, friends and anyone who met her. Mom, as your family we never lacked for hugs-warm loving hugs which became the hallmark of the Imhoff family. We were raised under your guidance, unconditional love, tireless effort and, yes, even sometimes being understandably stern but just. Mom is survived by seven children, Jim (Kitty Kuhl), Jean, Dan (Rose), Don (Diana), Pat (Jerry), Kay (Mike), and Greg (Liz); daughter-in-law, Mickey Imhoff; grandchildren, Laura (Drew), James (Kelly), Tia (Vic), Trisha (Pat), Ed (Christina), Denise (Jake), Debra, Danielle (Corey), Kelli, Colleen, Jacqueline, Al, Lauren, Gregory and Nicholas; great-grandchildren, Isabelle, Davis, Remington, Dane, Malec, Avery, Rocco, Kaydee, Evan and Trenton; and sisters-in-law, Grace Miller and Hazel Imhoff. Mom was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jim in February 1994; her son, John in 1943; her son-in-law, Todd Grueneberg; and her siblings, Robert (Margaret), Albert, Edward (Connie), Margaret (Don) and Elmer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008, at noon, at ST. BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2450 Atwood Ave., Madison, with Monsignor Michael Hippee presiding and Issys nephew, Father Loran Miller assisting. Visitation will take place at the church from 9:30 a.m until the Mass. Entombment follows at Roselawn Memorial Park. The family expresses its sincerest appreciation and thanks for the loving care given by Kelly, Sue, Wendy, Andrea, Mary L., Mary J., LouAnn, Carol, Lindsay, Pauline, Marie, Erica, Sheryl, Tommye, Judy and Kathy. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to either: The Capuchin Missions in care of her nephew, Father Loran Miller, St. Bernard Catholic Church, HospiceCare Inc. or the charity of your choice.
