Verlyn Dary

Dary, Verlyn MADISON Verlyn Dary, age 87, of Madison, passed away on Monday, Oct. 6, 2008, at Meriter Hospital. He was born on April 8, 1921, in Richland Center, the son of Harry "Oscar" and Cannie Dary. Verlyn served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He married Alice Deering. Verlyn was loved by all of his family and many friends, including his wife of more than 67 years, Alice of Madison; sons, Ray Dary of Alabama, the Rev. Carter (Anna Richard) Dary of Whitewater, and Dr. Curt (Linda) Dary of Las Vegas, Nev.; four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Darlene (Arthur) Olson of Madison, and Eleanor "Ellie" Cass of Friendship. He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson; and a brother. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008, with the Rev. Ken Smith presiding. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008.
