Josephine Johnson

Johnson, Josephine MADISON Josephine Johnson, age 49, was called home on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008, at Meriter Hospital in Madison. She was born in Milwaukee on Dec. 16, 1958, to Archie and Mary (Hayes) Wilks. Josephine Wilks married Christopher Johnson on Sept. 13, 1985, in Milwaukee. She worked with children in the Head Start program, and later worked in retail. Josephine was an active member of Madison Pentecostal Assembly. She was a loving mother of three and godmother to many. Josephine is survived by a son, Duriel (Lauren) of Edgerton; a daughter, Ebonie of Milwaukee; a son, Christopher Lee of Madison; and eight brothers and sisters. She was preceded in death by her husband; a sister; and her parents. Homegoing services will be held at MADISON PENTECOSTAL ASSEMBLY, 5109 E. Buckeye Road, Madison, at 11 a.m., on Friday, Oct. 10, 2008, with Bishop Eugene S. Johnson presiding. Entombment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday. Mom, we will miss you dearly.
