Elza Rucker

Rucker, Elza W. "Ken" VERONA Elza W. "Ken" Rucker, age 89, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008, at the HospiceCare Center in Fitchburg. He was born on Sept. 9, 1919, in Catlettsburg, Ky., the son of Howard and Helen (Moyer) Rucker. Ken was united in marriage to Viola Gross in 1943. She preceded him in death in 1993. He served his country in the Army Air Corps in Africa during World War II. Ken worked for 33 years at Oscar Mayer until his retirement in 1981. He is survived by a daughter, Barbara Mindak of Madison; grandson, Kim (Val) Mindak of Tomahawk; granddaughter, Michele (Tim) Merrill of Beaver Dam; two great- grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. As per his wishes, private services will be held. Private burial will be in at Highland Memory Gardens.
