Obituary
Ott, Geraldine J. SINGAPORE Geraldine Johanna Ott, age 67, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008, after a lengthy battle with breast cancer. She was born on July 6, 1941, in Madison, the daughter of Henry and Alice Pfiester Wille. Geraldine and her husband spent much of their lifetime in the mission field. They began their ministries as Baptist missionaries in India, where they stayed for two years before moving to Singapore. There they started Grace Independent Baptist Church and have served for 28 years. Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 48 years, Duane Ott of Singapore; one son, Daniel(Cindy) Ott of Aurora, Mo.; four daughters, Scarlette (John) Steuerwald of Whitewater, Melanie (Todd) Sasek of Ringgold, La., Candace (Patrocinio) of Farmington, N.M. and Victoria (DeWayne) of Carmel, Ind.; one brother, William Wille of Black Earth; 17 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Alice Wille; and her brother, Marland Wille. Funeral services will be held at GRACE BAPTIST CHURCH, 1801 S. Thompson Road, Madison, at 6 p.m., on Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008, and at 7 p.m., on Monday, Sept. 29, 2008, with Pastor Dean Howell officiating. Graveside service will be at St. Peters Lutheran Cemetery in Loganville at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2008. Visitation will be held at Grace Baptist Church from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m., on Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008, and 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., on Monday, Sept. 29, 2008. The family would like to thank Grace Independent Baptist Church and all the supporting churches in the United States for their much needed prayers, support and gifts.
