Diane Kleven

Kleven, Diane Ruth MADISON Diane Ruth Kleven, age 74, of Madison, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 3, 2008, at the HospiceCare Center. She was born on March 12, 1934, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Robert and Myrtle (Wockenfuss) Wynen. Diane married Louis Kleven on Aug. 20, 1966, in Appleton. She worked as an aide at Skaalen Home, then as a clerical worker at Wisconsin Physicians Service, retiring in 1997. Diane was a member of Good Shepherd by the Lake Lutheran Church and was active in Mary Martha Circle at church. She volunteered at the Friendship Center at UW-Madison and at the State Capitol. Diane enjoyed traveling and visited all 50 state capitols. She also enjoyed the theater, movies, and was a sports fan, attending the Badgers Rose Bowl and Packers Super Bowl games. Diane especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Louis; a son, Dana Lee French of Madison; daughter, Stacey Lynn (Ronald) Pierce of Hartland; five grandchildren, Emily, Andrew, Laura, Jennifer and Daniel; and a great-granddaughter, Armaia. Diane was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Ralph Urajner; and step-mother, Ann Wynen. Funeral services will be held at GOOD SHEPHERD BY THE LAKE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1860 US Highway 51, Stoughton, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008, with the Rev. Todd McVey presiding. Private burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery, north of Fond du Lac. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON STOUGHTON FUNERAL HOME, Highway 51 North at Jackson St., Stoughton, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2008. Memorials may be made to HospiceCare Inc.
