Obituary

Langer, Margaret LODI/ DEFOREST Margarets life journey ended Monday, Aug. 18, 2008, eight days past her 92nd birthday. Gods finger touched her and she slipped away from earths shadow to a bright new day. Margaret was born in Marshall, the daughter of Wilfred and Nettie ( Bostwick ) Radis, and had four sisters. In 1937, she married Emil Langer. They had two children, Karen (LaVerne) Johnson and Michael Langer. Margaret wore many hats. She was a farmers wife, a foster mom, care provider for the ill, doctors assistant, among the first employees at the Wisconsin Cheeseman and Evco Plastics, and a familiar face at the Timbers in the 70s and 80s, where she worked with Karen and LaVerne, friend and Grandma to many. Grandmas hands were never idle. She loved to travel, whether near or far, and her companionship was always loved. She enjoyed cooking and baking and her family will always treasure memories of her warm touch and laughter. Margaret is survived by her children; grandchildren, Monte (Lori) Johnson, Jayme Johnson, Lisa Dushack, and Jodi Wells; great-grandchildren, Ashley and Lindsay Johnson, Kelsey and Kylie Dushack, Alyssa Langer, and Austin and Maggie Wells; and two sisters, Emily Johnson of Tucson, Ariz., and Eleanor Thompson of Lodi. She was preceded in death by her husband; sisters, Beatrice Radis and Melvina Arner; and brothers-in-law, Myles Arner, Wilbur Johnson and Lloyd Thompson. Per Margarets wishes no services will be held.
