Obituary

Schuetz, Jacklyn M. "Jackie" VERONA Jacklyn Mary Schuetz, age 64, died Tuesday, July 22, 2008, at home, in the arms of her loving husband, Ron, after a lengthy battle with myotonic dystrophy. Jackie was born Nov. 25, 1943, to Robert and Mary (Brown) Geller. She attended Middleton High School and graduated in 1961. Jackie married her husband of 45 years, Ron Schuetz, on May 18, 1963. She was proud of her work as an LPN at St. Marys Hospital where she worked up until the time of her early retirement because of her disability. Jackie is survived by her husband, Ron; sons, Todd Schuetz of Seattle, Wash. and Tim (Jodi) Schuetz of Verona; and daughter, Teri (Steve) Daigle of Merrill. Jackie very much enjoyed her grandchildren, Jake and Will Schuetz and Amber and Hailey Daigle. Additionally, Jackie is survived by brothers, Dan (Lynn) Geller of Red Lake Falls, Minn. and Mark (Renee) Geller of Verona; sister, Jill (Bruce) Langevin of Tucson, Ariz.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jackie was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Christine; her parents, Robert "Bob" and Mary Geller; and a brother, David Geller. Jackie valiantly fought her myotonic dystrophy for more than 40 years and never once complained. Her family wishes to extend a special thank you to the wonderful staff at HospiceCare, Independent Living, and the many friends (particularly the card club group) who assisted Jackie and Ron in their endeavor to keep Jackie at home to the very end where she was the most comfortable. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. BERNARDS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 7450 University Ave., Middleton, at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 25, 2008, with Monsignor Douglas Dushack presiding. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens, Madison. Family and friends may call on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
