Obituary
Schwartzer, Anne E. MADISON Anne E. Schwartzer (Parker), age 67, went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, Aug. 22, 2008, at HospiceCare in Fitchburg, surrounded by her family. She endured a long and courageous battle with cancer for more than 20 years. Lovingly and appropriately called The Chief", she left us all full of hope, memories and by and large, love that will last an eternity. She was born May 20, 1941, in Chicago, Ill. Anne graduated from Maria High School (Chicago) in 1959, she married the love her life, Richard, in October of that same year. Anne held a variety of jobs over the years, the most special being both Central Service at St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo and hostess at Cimarollis in Portage. Of all of the many roles Anne served, her favorite was that as adoring wife, loving mother, and beloved grandmother. Anne is survived by her devoted husband, Richard; her four children, David (Laurie) Schwartzer of Philadelphia, Pa., Kathryn (Greg) Marks of Oconomowoc, Daniel (Patricia) Schwartzer of Wisconsin Dells, and Steven (Tamera) Schwartzer of Sun Prairie. Annes legacy lives on in her 14 grandchildren, Emily, Michael and Zachary Schwartzer, Trevor, Tyler and Tessa Marks, Brett (Courtney), Colin, Lauren, Lucas and Jacob Schwartzer; and Hannah, Sydney and Reagan Schwartzer; and a great-grandchild, Logan Schwartzer (with a brother or sister on the way). You can see her in their smiles, their strength and their spunk. She is also survived by her two sisters, Patricia (William) Lanfear and Rita Smith; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Lucille Parker; and her grandson, Jackson Schwartzer. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2008, at ST. DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 505 Dempsey Road, Madison, with Father Kent Schmitt presiding. Burial immediately follows at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Madison. Visitation will be at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, August 25, 2008, and at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be sent in the name of Anne Schwartzer to HospiceCare, 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway, Fitchburg, Wisc., 53711. A special thank you to the staff at Hospice for the support and care they gave her and our family. The family greatly appreciates the many prayers and kindnesses shown to us during this trying time. We are eternally grateful.
