Heitman, Carol Jean MADISON-Carol Jean Heitman, age 70, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 17, 2008, surrounded by her family, at the HospiceCare Center. She was born on June 16, 1938, in Madison, the daughter of Jacob and Rutilla (Endres) Weber. Carol graduated from Madison East High School in 1956. She devoted her time to raising her six children. In 1973, Carol began working at First Wisconsin Bank, where she worked until her retirement. After retirement, she worked at Kens Meat Market and Fitters III. Carol enjoyed being around people, dancing, cooking, bird watching, and the St. Dennis Festival. She loved spending time with family and friends. Carol is survived by her six children, Greg Heitman of Madison, Janice Heitman of Loyal, Dawn Heitman of Sun Prairie, Michael (Jeanette) Heitman of Lake Mills, Mark (Susan) Heitman of Kalona, Iowa, and Daniel (Christy) Heitman of Storm Lake, Iowa; 16 grandchildren, Heather (Cory) Sokel, and their daughter, Morgan; Billy Heitman; Matthew (Tracie) Van De Hei, Jeremiah Van De Hei, Mike Van De Hei; Jamie Mender, Nathan Garvey; Eric and Katie Heitman; Adam, Amanda, Allison and Jason Heitman;, and Emily, Jacob and John Heitman; two sisters, Mary (Donald) Carlson Anderson of Madison, and Ruth (Robert) Busch of Middleton; two brothers, Russell Weber of Sarasota, FL and Lloyd (Janet) Weber of Madison; and many nieces and nephews, especially Linda Krengel and nephew, Jimbo Blanchar who shared many close years together. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Margaret Blanchar Kammers; brother, Stanley Weber and brother-in-law, Charles Carlson. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 24, 2008. Visitation will be at the funeral home from noon until the time of the service. Memorials may be made to HospiceCare Inc.
