Obituary
Gundlach, Brian K. GRAFTON/ MADISON Brian Karl Gundlach, age 53, of Grafton, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 14, 2008, at his home. He was born on March 26, 1955, in Madison, the son of LeRoy and Eileen (Goodell) Gundlach. Brian grew up in Monona and graduated from Monona Grove High School in 1973. He obtained an industrial engineering degree from UW-Stout in 1977. Afterward, he was employed by Graber Industries, Middleton. Brian continued his education and received his masters of industrial engineering degree. Thereafter, he was employed by Troybuilt, Port Washington, and for the past 10 years at MaySteel, Allenton. Brian had diverse interests. He enjoyed traveling and any new experience. Brian crewed for a hot air balloon team and was an avid bike cyclist. He always enjoyed conversing with people and whenever possible using the Spanish language. Brian was a member of the Milwaukee Arts Institute and the Ozaukee Bike Club. He is survived by his mother and father, LeRoy and Eileen Gundlach of Waunakee; and sister, Nancy of Fairbanks, Alaska. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, on Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Lakeview Lutheran Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2008, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Memorials can be given in Brians honor to a charity of ones choice. No farewell words were spoken, no time to say good-bye, you were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why.

I worked with Brian at Maysteel and he was one of the nicest person you would ever meet. He was always smiling and always had something nice to say to you. He will be deeply missed. My heart goes out to you, his family during his untimely passing. He is in a much better place now looking down on the rest of us.

Dear Family, My deepest sympathy to you all. I worked with Brian at Maysteel and fully cared for and trusted Brian, I respected him and will always keep you and Brian in my thoughts and prayers. You are very welcome to contact me and I can share stories that Brian and I shared together as we worked together for many years.
