Edward Jacques

Jacques, Edward "Ed" LUXEMBURG/ MONONA Edward "Ed" Jacques, age 79, passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2008, at the HospiceCare Center. He was born on November 21, 1928, in Luxemburg, the son of Edward C. and Emma (DeBaker) Jacques. Ed spent most of his life in Luxemburg, before he moved to Madison, to be closer to four of his six children. During his years in Luxemburg, Ed was a volunteer firefighter and E.M.T., an appliance repairman and a salesman. He enjoyed helping his children, playing with his grandchildren, dancing with friends at the Madison V.F.W. Post No. 7591, spending time with his lady friend, Joanne, and coffee with his buddies until he lost his brave and feisty battle with cancer. He is survived by his children, Tim, Jeff, Victoria, Kerry, Nathan and Valeria; grandchildren, Candace, April, Caleb, Alison, Chanel, Cody, Cassandra, Trinity and Marconi. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2008, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. with a Scripture Service beginning at 4:45 p.m. at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2008, at 11 a.m. at IMMACULATE CONCEPTION OF MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH (St. Marys) of Luxemburg, 1412 Main St., Luxemburg.
