Edna Solberg

Solberg, Edna R. MADISON Edna R. Solberg, age 94, of Madison, passed away on Friday, July 11, 2008 at Karmenta Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born on Dec. 24, 1914 in Blanchardville, the daughter of John and Beatta (nee Ruud) Hanson. She was married to Howard Solberg, for 40 years. She worked for the Veterans Administration Hospital in Madison, for 20 years. She was an avid fan of professional wrestling, euchre, and playing bingo. Edna is survived by her husband, Howard Solberg; children, Janette Adler of Madison, Arlene Curtis of Madison, Jeanne Vasen of Blue Mounds, Robert (Christine) Briggs of Beltsville, Md., Alan(Char) Briggs of Chicago, Ill., Spencer (Judy) Briggs of Kilmichael, Miss., Edith (Ron) LaForge of Grantsburg, Wis., Rita Briggs of Madison, and Bonnie (Jim) Briggs of Bellville; 33 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Hazel. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Fred Narloch; one brother, Jimmy; and three sisters, Julia, Blanche and Olga. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, on Wednesday, July 16, 2008, at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Sunset Memory Gardens.
