Korissa Marty

Marty, Korissa Sue CROSS PLAINS Korissa Sue Marty, age 16, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at her home. She was born on Oct. 7, 1991, in Madison, the daughter of Robert and Linda (Helt) Marty. Although being born with multiple disabilities, Korissa lit up every room with her bright and beautiful smile. Special times for her were whirlpool baths, massages and having her hair brushed. Korissa is survived by her parents, Bob and Linda Marty; two sisters, Kaitlyn and Jessica, all of Cross Plains; maternal grandparents, Bill (Virginia) Helt, of Ashton; paternal grandparents, Ray (Judy) Schendel of Mazomanie; great-grandmother, Catherine Ballweg of Prairie du Sac; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her pater nal grandfather, Laverne Marty. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. FRANCIS XAVIER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2947 Thinnes St., Cross Plains at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008, with Father Laverne Meier presiding. Burial will be in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 1, 2008, at the church and also on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the medical staff who cared for Korissa, including Sharon Feiner and Theresa Rudy who were her private care nurses and also to Pam Staab who is with the Family Support and Resource Center for all her support over the years.
