Florence Nyborg

Nyborg, Florence A. MADISON Florence A. Nyborg, age 88, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2008. She was born on Aug. 11, 1919, in Mineral Point, to Orville and Dell (Cade) Whitford. Florence married Earl Nyborg on Nov. 9, 1947. She worked for the state of Wisconsin for many years as a typist II, then retired from the Public Service Commission as a secretary to the commissioner. Florence was a charter member of Lakeview Moravian Church. She was a quiet and humble soul with a curiosity and love for all that was around her. Florence held close to her heart many friends for so many years. A special fondness for her best friend, Dorothy Triggs and family is remembered. She was blessed with and survived by two sons, Terry Nyborg of Oregon and Rich (Linda) Nyborg of Eau Claire; three grandchildren, Lori (Reinhard) Weiss, Tyler (Wendy) Nyborg, and Paul Nyborg; seven great-grandchildren, Alaina, Janelle, Travis, Kaden, Jona, Jordan, and Dawson; and brother-in-law, Robert (Lillian) Nyborg. Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Earl, in 1998; parents; and brother, Dwight Whitford. Funeral services will be held at LAKEVIEW MORAVIAN COMMUNITY CHURCH, 3565 Tulane Ave., Madison, at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 28, 2008, with the Rev. John McCarthy presiding. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Lakeview Moravian Community Church. A special thanks to all the caregivers at Pine View Living, and to a wonderful friend, Nancy Baxter, for her visits and involvement with Florence.
