Leona Binius

Binius, Leona L. MADISON / FOUNTAIN HILLS, ARIZ. Leona L. Binius, age 90, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2008, in Fountain Hills, Ariz. She was born on May 1, 1918, in Middleton, to Henry and Rowena (Sneider) Grob. Leona married Herman Binius on April 3, 1937. She worked at the United States Armed Forces Institute (USAFI) in Madison for 20 years. Leona was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. She is survived by her daughter, Beverly (Martin) Smith of Fountain Hills, Ariz.; son, David (Shirley) Binius of St. Louis Park, Minn.; granddaughters, Kathy (David) Rocha of Gilbert, Ariz., Lauri (Bruce) Droster of Madison, Tracy (Jack) Bizot of Oak Park, Ill., and Lynda (John) Enright of St. Louis Park, Minn.; and great-grandchildren, David Rocha, Raymond and Samuel Bizot and Spencer and Jamie Enright. Leona was preceded in death by her husband, Herman; and brothers, Roman, Monfort and Raphael Grob. Funeral services will be held at HOLY CROSS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2670 Milwaukee St., Madison, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2008, with the Rev. Bernt Tweit presiding. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. at the church. Burial will be at White Church Cemetery, Barneveld. Memorials may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
