Huseboe, Ann B. MADISON Ann B. Huseboe, age 91, of Madison, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2008, in Naperville, Ill., after a lingering illness. Her two daughters were by her side. Ann Marie Bystol was born on Aug. 6, 1916, on the family farm in Hollandale, to Andrew and Magreta (Helgeland) Bystol. She graduated from Hollandale High School and worked as a telephone operator in Dodgeville. She married Armond B. Huseboe on Oct. 19, 1940 and resided on the east side of Madison until 2004 when health issues required her to move to Woodridge, Ill. to live with her daughter. She was primarily a homemaker but also worked for a physician as a live-in maid, for Oscar Mayer, and for Madison Newspapers, all in Madison. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church since the 1940s. Ann is survived and cherished by daughters, Virginia Ann Evert of Woodridge, Ill. and Delores Elaine Thurgood (John Robinson) of Annandale, Va.; by grandsons, David (Molly) Evert of LaGrange, Ga., Michael (Sheila) Evert of Snellville, Ga., and Jason Thurgood of Annandale, Va.; by great-grandsons, Jack, Knox, Colin, Calvin, and Matthew, Luke, Stephen; brother, Oscar Bystol of Maquoketa, Iowa; sister-in-law, Catherine Palzkill of Mineral Point; brother-in-law, Vernus Watkins of New Glarus; special caregiving friend, Ruta Rupeikiene; former son-in-law, Andy Thurgood of New Market, Md.; a host of nieces and nephews, and their children and grandchildren. Ann was preceded in death by Armond, her beloved husband of 47 years; mother, Magreta Bystol; father, Andrew Bystol; stepmother, Agnes Bystol; brothers, Olin and Thomas Bystol; sisters, Marian Garthwait, Margaret Olson and Mildred Watkins; father-in-law, Severt Huseboe; mother-in-law, Helen Huseboe; son-in-law, Fred Evert; sisters-in-law, Lillian, Norma and Marie Bystol, and Leonora (Huseboe) Bucko; brothers-in-law, Fay Garthwait, Milton Olson, Dick Palzkill and Stanley Bucko; nephew, Lester Bystol; nieces, Barbara Bystol, Mary Margaret Olson, June (Garthwait) Saevre, Joan (Bystol) Krabbe and Joans husband, John; and many other relatives in both Norway and America. Family and friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, July 11, 2008, at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison. Funeral services will be held at ROSELAWN MEMORIAL PARK CHAPEL, 401 Femrite Drive, Monona, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2008, with the Rev. William Gary Kobs of Trinity Lutheran Church presiding. Entombment will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Bashford Food Pantry, Trinity Lutheran Church, or the American Cancer Society. Ann will be forever remembered for her strong Christian faith; her sweet, gentle nature; her perpetual kindness and generosity; her acceptance of all people and love of all Gods creatures; her appreciation of even the smallest gesture; her pride in her Norwegian heritage as well as her American patriotism; and her abounding joy in family and friends. Ann was truly a blessing to all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
