Thornsen, Ruth May "Pat" LODI/MADISON/MONTELLO Ruth May "Pat" Thornsen, age 76, passed away on Friday, June 13, 2008. She was born on Aug. 29, 1931, in Lodi, the daughter of James and Ruth May (Cross) Buchanan. Pat was united in marriage to Linus Thornsen on June 12, 1950. She enjoyed floral arranging, oil paintings and working with crafts. Pat also loved to ride her motorcycle. She is survived by her husband, Linus of Montello; son, Jamye (Lou) Thornsen of Madison; daughter-in-law, Sharon Thornsen of Madison; four grandchildren, Shayne, Travys, Ryne and Katrina; a great-grandchild, Jamye Michael; a sister, Gloria Maier of Madison; a nephew, Preston Maier; and a great-nephew, Drew Maier. Pat was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jesse; and a sister, Marian Lane. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., on Tuesday, June 17, 2008. Private family services will be held. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens. Memorials may be made to the National Wildlife Foundation.
