Rose McDowell

McDowell, Rose M. MIDDLETON Rose M. McDowell, age 56, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, June 23, 2008. She was born on Dec. 2, 1951, in Soldiers Grove, the daughter of Samuel D. and Mary (Isler) Davenport. Rose was united in marriage to Michael R. McDowell on Dec. 31, 1972. She was employed with the WEA Insurance Trust Company for 24 years. Rose had a variety of interests including reading and crafting, but she treasured most the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. Rose is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Michael; two daughters, Tonya (Don) Pertzborn and Trisha McDowell; three grandchildren, Brittany, Zachary and Garrett; four brothers, Doug (Bev) Davenport of Waunakee, Ken (Gerry) Davenport of Madison, David (Donna) Davenport of Madison, and John (Peg) Davenport of Madison; and a sister, Jean (Ray) Maijala of Verona. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Gary Davenport. Funeral services will be held at HIGH POINT CHURCH, 7702 Old Sauk Road, Madison at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2008, with the Rev. Dr. Richard Sisson presiding. Burial will be held at 3 p.m. at Highland Memory Gardens, Madison. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
