Charlotte Ransome

Ransome, Charlotte A. MADISON-Charlotte A. Ransome (Johnson), of Madison, gently passed over to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, June 7, 2008, surrounded by her loving husband, sister, and niece. She was born in Madison, to the late Warren E. Sr. And Frances B. (Blum) Johnson. She was united in marriage to Dennis Ransome on July 25, 1969. Charlotte worked for many years as the dietary manager for Child Development Inc. She was committed to providing healthy food and love to all the children she fed over the years. She will always be remembered as a loving and supportive wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Charlotte was a woman of strong faith and believed what goes around in life, comes around. What ever Char had she shared with or gave to others in need. She was an earth child and happiest working out in the yard taking care of plants and flowers. Survivors include her husband, Dennis; daughter, Shirley (Renfro); granddaughters, Kerri (Davis) of Atlanta; brother, Warren E. Johnson Jr.; sisters, Elizabeth Taliaferro of Madison, Jean (Noel) Midkiff of Mississippi, Joan King of Alabama, Marilyn (Warren) Klotzbach of Cottage Grove, Sharon (Neil) Russ of Mazomanie; many nieces, nephews and her very special friend and companion, Maggie May. The family wishes to thank Dr. Michael Huie of UW Oncology Hematology Department, Meriter Hospital ER Department and staff and the special nurses and staff of the seventh floor Oncology ward. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society. Please remember that Colon Cancer can be prevented or caught early by getting a Colonoscopy.
