Mary Cairy

Cairy, Mary E. MADISON Mary Ellen Cairy, age 66, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 28, 2008, surrounded by her family after enduring a lengthy journey with dementia. She was born on Dec. 20, 1941, in Madison, the daughter of Elmer and Lillian Becker. After a life long career with the Federal Government, Mary continued her passion for gardening, antiquing, and spending time with her grandchildren. Mary is survived by her daughter, Lori (Irvin) Haugen of Kewaskum; four grandchildren, Andrew, John, Georgiana, and Gabriela; sisters, Kay (Don) Taylor of DeForest and Joan Preston of Stoughton; brother, Keith Becker of Rio; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Scott A. Cairy. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, on Saturday, May 31, 2008, at 11 a.m., with Chaplain Valerie Cappozzo officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Cottage Grove. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
